Since becoming the Attorney General, John Ashcroft has pursued policies that have divided the country. The failure of John Ashcroft's leadership of the department of justice and misdirection of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was demonstrated on September 11, 2001. (See below)

John Ashcroft has infringed on civil liberties with many actions. From reviving the practice of racial profiling, to detaining citizens and non-citizens alike indefinitely without charges, to entering our homes without probable cause, John Ashcroft is a danger to democracy and the Constitution.

However, the FBI headquarters personnel did not take the action requested by the Phoenix agent prior to September 11, 2001. The communication generated little or no interest at either FBI Headquarters or the FBI’s New York field office.
